The Integrated Veterinary Care Initiative
The Integrated Veterinary Care Initiative (IVCI) is a resource produced by the Canine Massage Guild that details how science backed clinical canine massage, whilst working alongside vets and other therapists will ensure a multimodal approach to patients care, achieving best outcomes in every case.
The IVCI resource includes an information pack for vets and a ‘What’s your dog trying to tell you?’ guide for clients. The brochure details the educational and professional standards that a Canine Massage Guild member follows, their code of ethics and conduct and continued professional development CPD requirements.
Published Research
Sparsholt and Winchester Universities have published their clinical trials on the Lenton Method® which is only practiced by Canine Massage Guild Therapists. This method includes a systematic and scientific method of advanced palpation skills to isolate the muscles and fascia for assessment and a unique set of direct myofascial release techniques that rehabilitate musculoskeletal injuries and provide chronic pain management for orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis and hip dysplasia.
